Yayo Kawamura, born in 1967 in southern Germany and raised in Tokyo, has lived in Berlin since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. She studied communication design and has been working as a freelance illustrator and designer in her Kreuzberg studio since 2001. Yayo Kawamura has already designed numerous picture books and developed series for the youngest reading age.
