Julia Donaldson is the internationally renowned author of some of the best-loved picture books in the world, including The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo's Child, Spinderella and Night Monkey, Day Monkey. Her books have sold tens of millions of copies, and many have been adapted into much-loved animated films. Julia was awarded a CBE for services to literature in 2019.

Thomas Docherty is the creator of a number of best-selling picture books, including The Horse That Jumped,and the illustrator of many more, including Superwolf and The Snatchabook, written by his wife Helen, and multi-award-winning The Hare-Shaped Hole, written by John Dougherty.
