Antonia Salzano Acutis is the mother of Carlo Acutis, the fifteen-year-old from Milan who died of fulminant leukemia on October 12, 2006, prompting the Church to begin the process of his canonization. Married to Andrea, she has two children born after Carlo's death. She attended theology classes and, thanks to her son, has grown closer to the faith.
