During the Depression, the Works Progress Administration (WPA), Transcriptions Unit, transcribed all of Sequatchie County, Tennessee, Will Books for the years 1858 to 1895. This book contains these originial transcriptions. Information in this work include the Name of the Deceased, date of death, dates on court filings and actions, sales of personal property of the deceased, Recorded Wills, Lists of Personal Property and Inventories of estates, the names of Witnesses, Executors, Creditors, Judges, Lawyers, etc., and Notes executed by debtors (including names of individuals). In many instances, the net worth of an individual's estates can be determined by the inventories and court records and notations. An excellent genealogical source.
