Emma is a widow praying for a better life on her Amish farm. Ever since her husband died, things have been tough...until one night a strange man winds up on her doorstep. He's bruised, bloodied and battered...and doesn't even know his own name. Desperate for an opportunity to rest, he pleads with her to let him stay the night in her barn. Going against her better judgment but somehow trusting the man, Emma lets him remain. A romance ensues between the Amish woman and the Englischer but he starts to get his memory back of the man he once was and doesn't want to go back...But will his past catch up to him and crush their blossoming love?
